The Problem: Dashcams today are too expensive, messy, and complicated

Dashcams are incredibly valuable: some insurers offer up to 30% discounts to drivers who are equipped with one, and footage can make all the difference in resolving accidents or preventing fraud.

Yet most drivers still don’t use them.

We’ve spent weeks testing the most popular dashcams on the market. What did we find?

Our Solution: Weel replaces all of that with a simple app

Weel is a smartphone app that offers:

• External dashcam — Records the road ahead and provides incident evidence in case of an accident
• Internal dashcam — Designed for professional drivers (taxis, VTCs, delivery) to ensure security and accountability
• Smart navigation — Real-time GPS guidance with traffic-aware routing
• Cloud & encryption — Video footage is uploaded via Wi-Fi and encrypted for secure storage
• Accident analysis (in beta) — Automatically analyzes and describes what happened during a crash, to simplify reporting and defend the driver

Why are we building this?

For months, we’ve been speaking with both professional and everyday drivers — many shared stories of accidents where, without any footage, they lost time, money, and even saw their insurance premiums double. They had no way to defend themselves.

We believe that access to protection, evidence, and safer driving shouldn’t be a luxury — this kind of technology should be available to everyone, for free.

What’s next?

Our goal is to develop a full suite of AI computer vision features such as:

• Real-time alerts — Warnings for risky driving behavior to help prevent incidents
• Augmented reality navigation — Smarter, clearer GPS guidance using AR overlays
• Video-based traffic reports — Automatic detection of traffic jams, hazards, and incidents from user dashcams

to create a large, connected and safe driver network improving traffic flow across cities.
