Problem

61% of patients miss out on essential appointments each year due to scheduling hassles, costing our healthcare system $280B annually.

We’re starting by tackling where 88% of patient appointments are scheduled and managed today: the phone.

Doctors have a hair-on-fire problem managing their call centers and front desks. They’re expensive to run and have high turnover rates, which leads to long hold times and high abandonment rates — and ultimately lost patients. For example, our customers have the call center as a multi-million dollar annual expense, and are seeing 20%+ abandonment rates.

Solution

To solve this, we’re building AI voice agents that can be deployed to act as a doctor’s best scheduler with:

• Our scheduling rules engine structuring doctor-specific rules across .pdfs, EHRs, paper, tribal knowledge
• AI voice agents that handle intake, insurance verification, and slotting integrated with the EHR and telephony system
• Admin portal and dashboard that provides visibility into patient call resolution gaps

Team

The Trapeze founding team has spent their careers solving patient and doctor problems:

• Betty was the first business hire at Capable Health, where she managed 100+ specialty clinics, built out their patient scheduling and engagement strategies, and closed their first $1M ARR.

• Chris was the 8th employee and founding engineer at Vanta and then tech lead at Medallion where he built and scaled back office automations for healthcare enterprises like Oak Street Health and VillageMD.
