The problem

SOX testing is an extremely expensive and time-consuming part of being public.

Companies either:

• Spend millions outsourcing the work to consultants, or
• Burn thousands of internal hours doing testing and documentation manually

In both cases, the results are the same: auditors being pulled away from higher-value risk and strategy.

The solution

We built the first end-to-end SOX automation platform.

Our AI agents handle the heavy lifting

• Running attribute tests like tie-outs and reconciliations across evidence
• Linking and annotating support so every conclusion is transparently documented
• Assembling audit-ready workpapers in the exact formats external auditors expect

We deliver this through the two surfaces where SOX work happens:

• A web app for managing tests and documentation

  

• A native Excel add-in for auditors who live in spreadsheets

  

What’s next

Today, Midship saves companies time on testing and documentation. Next on our roadmap, we’re focused on automating evidence gathering itself, reducing the hours teams spend just collecting data. This will set the stage for SOX testing to evolve from point-in-time exercises to continuous monitoring.
