Channel3

Database of every product on the internet

Channel3 is building a database of every product on the internet. Google and OpenAI maintain vast product graphs, but keep that valuable data to themselves. Channel3 gives every developer access, opening a world of possibility for new shopping experiences across any vertical. For instance, developers could build AI fashion stylists or give their agents shopping capabilities. We don’t just collect product data; we actually understand it. With the latest image classification and reasoning models, we can match products across merchants—even when listings and images differ—recognize variants, and surface the perfect matches for every search. As we grow, we’ll capture unique insights into what users want, click, and buy. As AI models get smarter and cheaper, our flywheel accelerates: our catalog will improve, and it will be even easier for developers and vibe-coders to build on our infrastructure. To further incentivize building on Channel3, we provide built-in monetization; developers earn commissions on sales they drive. Alex discovered this need while building an AI tutor that could recommend products and earn affiliate revenue. When no solution existed, he persuaded his smartest friend from Duke and former co-founder George to leave Palantir and build Channel3 together.

Co-Founder and CEO, Channel3 (S25). I started coding at 9 and launched my first company at 12. Studied Computer Science and Psychology at Duke, where George (Channel3 CTO) and I worked together for years and even founded a startup together. Worked as a PM at Microsoft, then reneged my return offer to lead AI projects at Studio.com, where I discovered this pain point and set out to solve it. Fun fact: My twin brother and I auditioned for MasterChef Junior.

Co-Founder and CTO, Channel3 (S25). Before Channel3, I worked as a software engineer at Palantir for a couple of years. There, I tackled hard security and data problems, and I built some cool stuff. I graduated from Duke with a B.S. in CS. During my senior year, I started my first company with Alex (Channel3 CEO). Fun fact: I'm also a published astronomer (twice!)

Hi! We’re George and Alex, and we’re building Channel3: a database of every product on the internet.

What?

Every time you shop on Google, Amazon, or ChatGPT, you’re querying a product database. These companies have built massive product catalogs — with pricing, availability, images, and specs — but they keep this data private. That means only the giants can build shopping experiences. Channel3 is changing that. We’re building a universal product catalog and giving every developer access.

Got it. What can I use a product database for?

Any website, app, or AI agent can boost revenue by adding commerce – without holding inventory or processing payments. You could, for example, build a kitchen co-pilot that suggests the best tools for every cook, or a fitness app that intelligently recommends equipment needed for the next class.

How do I make money with Channel3?

Monetization is built in. With Channel3, developers earn commission on every sale they drive — no chasing affiliate deals, no ads that break trust, and no subscription fees users won't pay.

Why now?

Multimodal models have only just become accurate and cheap enough to recognize products visually and semantically, letting us match duplicates across merchants, structure heaps of messy data, and link variants like color or size.

As AI models get smarter and cheaper, our flywheel accelerates: our catalog will improve, and it will be even easier for developers and vibe-coders to build on our infrastructure.

Why we’re building this

Alex discovered this problem firsthand while building an AI teacher that could recommend appropriate products for its students. He discovered that giving AI agents shopping capabilities is both a real pain-point and a growing opportunity, so he persuaded George, his smartest friend from Duke and former co-founder, to leave Palantir and build the solution together.

I’m in! What now?

We’re looking for developers who want to build the next generation of shopping on top of Channel3 (and get paid to do it!).
