👋 Hi everyone, I’m Ahana, founder of Clear, a skincare app helping tens of thousands of people take control of their skin through tracking, education, and community. We’re YC W21, and today, we’re launching something big: Clear Premium.
💡 The Problem
Skincare is broken. People spend hundreds on products, but don’t know what’s working, what’s causing breakouts, or how to personalise their routine. Skin is complex, and most advice is vague, biased, or not designed for people of colour.
As someone who struggled with acne for years, I found myself wishing there was a way to track my skin, get honest recommendations, and see real results over time.

For the past 3 years, we’ve grown Clear with very little marketing - just word-of-mouth from a passionate, underserved community. We’ve been used by 50K+ people across 100+ countries, featured on the App Store, and recently partnered with top dermatologists to help people get clinical guidance too.
This launch is a huge milestone for us. It’s our next chapter - one that gives our community more tools, more control, and a way to stop wasting time and money on trial and error.
