As a Software Engineer at Vorticity, you will work at the intersection of scientific computing and modern web technologies. You’ll be responsible for developing robust platform infrastructure, integrating high-performance computation backends, and creating seamless user experiences for our scientific community. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technical depth, enjoys working across the stack, and wants to make an impact in scientific innovation.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain our scientific platforms, and integrate them with our high-performance computation backend.
Understand user requirements to improve the platform experience, including scientific workflows.
Develop and maintain backend services to manage and integrate complex data streams.
Deploy, monitor, and optimize our platform infrastructure using container orchestration and cloud technologies.
3+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
Strong proficiency in Java Script, React, Python and Docker.
Experience with database design.
Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
Ability to operate at multiple levels of abstraction in a complex software system.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related. educational background.
Experience working on large full-stack projects.
Experience with Networking.
Experience with Frontend Development.
Experience with CI/CD.
