Software Engineer (Backend/Full Stack)
About the role
We’re looking for an exceptional backend or full stack engineer who will learn and contribute to our existing tech stack, further scale our web infrastructure, and jump in to build new product features (or even entirely new products!).
As one of Undermind’s earliest team members, you’ll have a high-impact role shaping our product, working directly with the founders to build the foundations of a great company. You’ll be treated as a peer, get to contribute to all aspects of what we do, and will be part of the decision making process every step of the way. Ideally, you’ll also want to eventually grow into a senior leadership position within the team as our company scales.
Must-haves
Strong but broad engineering skills, experience building and scaling web applications, and experience with or willingness to quickly learn our current stack (Django, AWS: RDS, S3, EC2, and DevOps tools). We want someone able to learn and contribute quickly on many fronts.
Nice-to-haves
Familiarity with broader AWS resources (SQS, Lambda), DNS management, Django REST APIs, React, Python, Stripe, SendGrid, Vercel, PostHog.
Location
In-person, San Francisco. Founder-like ethos expected: more dedication than a 9-5 and you’ll frequently need to rise to the occasion.
