About the role

About

We are seeking a driven Senior Data Engineer (potentially in a Lead role) to join our early team at Subsets as we build the future of AI-driven Subscription growth for CRM and Lifecycle teams. As one of the early team members, you will play a crucial role in the company, developing key infrastructure and directly contributing to the shaping of our product. You will collaborate with our software engineers and data scientists to build a scalable data infrastructure that powers our AI-driven platform.

As a Data Engineer at Subsets, you will work directly with our customers' data and have the opportunity to shape and impact the product experience for millions of subscribers (our customers’ customers).

In this role, you will

  • Work directly with the founding team and our software engineers.
  • Design, develop, and manage our scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Monitor and optimize our current data pipelines (we are moving a lot of data!).
  • Work in a lean, high-performing team where you will have a significant impact on the product and assume numerous responsibilities.
  • Bring your opinions and experiences on how to scale our current setup from 10+ customers to 100+ customers.

You may be a good fit if you have

  • A professional background in Data Engineering, preferably with an overlap to Software Engineering.
  • Have prior experience building ETL pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, dbt, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or similar.
  • Experience working with Docker, Terraform, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in modeling data to be consumed by machine learning pipelines.
  • An analytical mindset to help define what data are relevant in a specific use-case context.
  • The ability to work effectively in a startup environment where things change fast and are sometimes loosely defined.

This is neither an exhaustive nor a necessary list of capabilities. If none of these apply to you, but you believe you can contribute to Subsets, please reach out.

About the interview

We will typically meet three times: 1) for an introductory coffee in our Copenhagen office, 2) for an in-depth technical interview, and 3) for a work trial.

A work trial consists of two days of work in our office in Copenhagen, allowing both parties to understand how we work together and whether Subsets is the right fit for you.
