About the role

Replicate makes it easy to run AI in the cloud. We’ve got a library of thousands of models that you can run with one line of code, or you can deploy your own private models without having to worry about servers or GPUs.

We’re a team from Docker, GitHub, NVIDIA, and Scale AI. We obsess about the details of API design and making things fast. We’re led by engineers. We’re a startup and we act like it. But, we’re here to build a big company.

We’re hiring our first Partnerships Lead at Replicate. After establishing partnerships with a range of model providers over the last year, it’s become clear that there’s an enormous opportunity to continue to expand Replicate’s model offerings in this way. Now we need someone to take full ownership of partnerships, level things up, and push this function from 0.5 to 1 (and beyond). You’ll help shape our strategy and own the relationships that matter most, working directly with model providers and major tech companies alike, to grow our ecosystem and make Replicate the best place to run any type of model.

What you’ll do

Model Ecosystem Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with the folks creating the latest and greatest machine learning models. Help them run and scale on Replicate.
Strategic Partnerships: Form connections with companies like NVIDIA, Adobe, GitHub, Hugging Face, and Vercel to strengthen their integrations with Replicate.
Partner Support and Growth: Make sure our partners succeed by helping them get the most out of Replicate. Team up on onboarding efforts as well as marketing activities to increase usage for Replicate and its partners in a collaborative way.
Industry Awareness: Stay sharp on what’s happening in generative AI and new model launches. Spot trends early and ensure Replicate remains the go-to platform for developers looking for the widest selection of models in one place.

You should apply if you have…

We’re looking for the right person, not just someone who checks boxes. So you don’t need to satisfy all of these things, but you probably have some of these qualities:

Experience in partnerships or a related role with a track record of owning partnerships end to end, including negotiations, contracts, and execution
Community presence in generative AI, specifically with image or video models
Some technical understanding around running machine learning models and APIs
Solid communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, and finance
A bias toward action, and comfort operating in ambiguity

About Replicate

What we're doing

Machine learning can now do some extraordinary things: it can understand the world, drive cars, write code, make art.

But, it is still extremely hard to use. Research is typically published as a PDF, with scraps of code on GitHub and weights on Google Drive (if you’re lucky!). It is near-impossible to take that work and apply it to a real-world problem, unless you are an expert.

We’re making machine learning accessible to everyone. People creating machine learning models should be able to share them in a way that other people can use, and people who want to use machine learning should be able to do it without getting a PhD.

With great power also comes great responsibility. We believe that with better tools and safeguards, we will make this powerful technology safer and easier to understand.

How we work

We're a bunch of hackers, engineers, researchers, and artists.

We obsess about the details of API design and the right words for things. We're defining how AI works so we'd better get it right.

We make fast and reliable infrastructure. That's what a good infrastructure product is. We're not afraid to build things from scratch to make it the fastest.

We use AI for work. We use AI for play. We find unexplored parts of the map and create new techniques ourselves. We open-source it all.

We build in public, for the community. We want AI to work like open-source software so everyone benefits from it.

We're led by engineers. We all write code. (Or, we get ChatGPT to help.) There aren’t any meetings about meetings.

We've worked at places like Docker, Dropbox, GitHub, Heroku, NVIDIA, Scale AI, and Spotify. We've created technologies like Docker Compose and OpenAPI.

We're here to build a big company. We're ambitious and hard-working. We're not here to just build nice things.
