We’re a fast-moving, YC-backed startup on a mission to redefine customer support with AI. We’re looking for a Founding Engineer, someone ready to roll up their sleeves, shape the product, own the stack, and help us build the company

About Quivr

Quivr is an AI-powered customer support platform that helps support teams respond faster, more accurately, and automate repetitive tasks, all while keeping brand voice and reliability intact.

We integrate knowledge bases, CRMs, internal tools, and live data so that support teams can:

  • Generate draft replies
  • Automate responses when confidence is high (autosend)
  • Categorize and summarize tickets
  • Reduce workload while improving customer satisfaction

What you’ll do as a Founding Engineer

As one of the first engineers at Quivr, you’ll play a key role in shaping the product, technical stack, and company culture.

  • Architect & build backend systems powering autosend, confidence scoring, knowledge ingestion, and monitoring at scale
  • Design and improve data pipelines
  • Build a multimodal search technical solution
  • Ensure robust ingestion from heterogeneous data sources: helpdesk tickets, PDFs, JSON, CRM data, etc.
  • We handle production systems: guarantee performance, scalability, and uptime of the platform
  • Stay at the edge of GenAI & ML research
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, customer success, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful features. We believe that engineers should stay close to real customer needs, not hidden away through endless layers. You’ll own features end-to-end, from idea to delivery in the hands of clients.

What we’re looking for

Hard skills

  • Strong software engineering skills. we recruit engineers with a true engineering mindset. Strong software engineering fundamentals are a must. We look for people who love solving problems, aren’t afraid to dig deep and figure things out.
  • Backend & infrastructure experience: You have built scalable APIs, data pipelines, you care about the system architecture.
  • ML engineering: You won’t need an academic background, but a solid grasp of transformer architectures, retrieval methods, and multimodal embeddings is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with LLMs / foundation models and their limitations (latency, hallucinations, bias, cost)
  • Production-level experience with DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and security

  • Ambition: You enjoy tackling tough problems and pushing the limits of your skills to build cutting-edge AI systems.

Background

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in a fast-scaling startup or a top tech company as a backend/ML/infrastructure engineer
