Nox Metals is building the fastest raw material supplier in America.
Starting with steel tube and aluminum plate, we combine modern software with factory automation to speed up quoting, processing, and shipping. Backed by Y Combinator, we are rethinking how metals move through the industrial supply chain.
This is the second software engineering hire at Nox Metals. You will work directly with the founders to build core systems that power our factory operations.
Responsibilities
- Build production systems for quoting, procurement, scheduling, and machine operations
- Deploy code directly into live factory environments where it has immediate impact
- Develop internal factory tools for automation, planning, and material tracking
- Create customer-facing tools for quoting, ordering, and visibility
- Collaborate closely with operators, machinists, and leadership to make factories smarter and faster
- Shape the technical direction and culture of the software team as we scale

Factories often wait hours or days for raw material quotes. Our goal is five seconds.
Every second saved on quoting and cutting speeds up downstream production across America’s industrial base. Faster metal supply means faster manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Full stack software development experience
- Ability to ship quickly and work in fast-paced environments
- Interest in building at the intersection of software and manufacturing
- Comfort working through ambiguity and creating systems from the ground up
- Excitement to work on real-world problems with direct impact on physical operations
