About the Role

We’re seeking a foundational AI researcher with hands-on experience in developing use-case-specific LLMs. You should take pride in your work and write high-quality, scalable code. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

• Build Product: Rapidly contribute to our SOTA Computer Vision models and Voice AI products.
• Technical Leadership: Drive technical decisions and architecture design, shaping the foundation of our solutions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with co-founders and other team members to translate business vision into actionable project plans.
• Ownership: Take full product ownership from ideation to launch, including integration into existing systems.

Who You Are / Must-Haves:

• Startup Experience: Strong preference for candidates with prior startup experience. Former founders are especially valued for their entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Prior Experience: 2-10 years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Educational Background: Ideally, candidates should have attended a college ranked in the top 50 in the United States. Focused PhDs are a big plus.
• Backend Skills: Strong background in JS/Typescript and Python. Core understanding of recent ML/Transformer architecture.
• Optional Cloud Platforms: Proficient with AWS, Fly.io, and Postgres.
• Scalability: Familiarity with Docker is a big plus.
• Regulatory: Basic or professional experience with HIPAA is useful.
