Drone detection for US defense and national security
Guardian RF is building next-generation drone detection systems to protect critical infrastructure, national security, and public safety. Our passive RF-based platform provides real-time situational awareness by detecting both compliant and non-compliant drones and integrating directly with security and law enforcement systems.
This role is primarily a full-time, in-person position based in Washington, DC, where close collaboration with our RF engineers and hardware team is essential. That said, we will consider strong candidates for remote work depending on experience and fit.
As a backend engineer, you’ll design and build scalable services to process large volumes of RF data, develop APIs for integrations, and help shape the foundation of our distributed system. You’ll work closely with RF engineers, data scientists, and front-end developers to deliver mission-critical technology that has real-world impact.
Guardian RF develops passive RF-based drone detection systems to protect national security, critical infrastructure, and public safety. Our systems provide continuous airspace monitoring, detect compliant and non-compliant drones, and integrate seamlessly with security and law enforcement operations. We work with the U.S. Air Force, state Departments of Transportation, law enforcement agencies, and commercial partners to safeguard sensitive sites ranging from airports to stadiums.
