Operations Lead

We're hiring a founding Operations Lead to build the systems that recruit and coordinate expert annotators (doctors, lawyers, engineers, videographers, etc…) who create training data for to push the frontier of AI models.

Why now: We've manually duct-taped processes together, but now we can’t keep up with the growth, so we’ve had to turn away customers. So we need someone to systematize operations and collaborate with us to design the software that automatically sources, vets, interviews, and coordinates hundreds to thousands of human experts simultaneously.

Ultimately, we are “productizing” our operations, so we can (a) move faster internally at Fixpoint, and (b) give our customers access to the same tools we have, so that they can run their own human data operations at scale.

The role evolves from:

• Building repeatable ops systems (some grunt work initially, I won't sugarcoat it)
• Managing recruiters, support team, and project delivery

To:

• Designing the software-ops interface that scales Fixpoint
• Owning client relationships with AI data companies and model labs, and figuring out how our service and product should evolve to support them
• Solving complex training data needs at the frontier

Ideal fit: Someone who can toggle between rolling up sleeves today and architecting scalable systems for tomorrow. Strong preference for SF-based or willing to relocate.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years working in an operations-heavy role
• Has designed operational processes and executed them: writing SOPs, directing teammates
• Can translate operational problems into product requests or features
• Comfortable talking with customers and execs
