About Complete
Complete helps candidates, employees, and teams navigate the opaqueness of compensation. We’ve reimagined the offer letter, built tools for rewards transparency, and created platforms for modern compensation planning.
We work with high-growth startups like Convex and TrueNorth, as well as enterprise players like Vercel and DataStax. With over 5,000 employee records and salaries evaluated, we help companies retain top talent and build fairer, more accountable orgs.
We’re backed by top-tier investors and advisors, and we’re looking for high-ownership, product-minded engineers to help build the future of compensation.
What You’ll Do
We’re hiring an engineering manager who’s excited to lead and scale a high-performing team, while staying close to the code when needed. You’ll work directly with our CEO to:
- Take ownership of our most important customer problems and ship critical product improvements
- Build and scale a senior engineering team from 7 to 15+ over the next 6 months
- Set culture, define technical direction, and establish what great execution looks like
- Support strategic growth initiatives like global expansion and more (e.g., Okta, RBAC, audit logs)
- Balance people management with hands-on IC work, especially as we grow
Who You Are
- 6–8+ years of full stack engineering experience, with 2–4+ years managing engineers
- Strong technical depth and a track record of leading senior-level ICs (Senior, Staff)
- Proven ability to recruit, scale, and inspire engineering teams
- You lead by example and aren’t afraid to dive into the code when it matters
- You care deeply about customers, product quality, and team culture
- You thrive in fast-moving environments and have a builder mindset
Bonus points if
- You’ve worked at early-stage startups or helped scale one
- You’ve built systems for scale (multi-region, enterprise-grade, secure by design)
- You’re entrepreneurial — maybe you’ve even started something before
Compensation
- Base: $200–250K
- Equity: 0.75%+
- Benefits: Competitive healthcare, unlimited PTO, team offsites, and more
