The Role

As the ASE-Certified Master Technician & Operations Team Lead, you will be the trusted technical authority and strategic lead for our most critical fleet operations. You will drive diagnostic accuracy, value realization, turnaround speed, and network quality across a portfolio of large fleet clients and service centers.

You will also help shape product direction by turning customer problems and technical insights into clear product requirements, working closely with the engineering team to define feature scope and set priorities. This is a high-leverage role designed for a highly-capable, results-driven automotive professional who can reliably execute with attention to detail, present client feedback with context for translation into actionable plans or into enhancing/new product features, and ensure our customers realize transformative value through Carma’s platform.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary automotive technical expert for Carma, providing fast, accurate guidance to fleet clients, service partners, and Carma’s internal teams
• Lead our Operational Support team and hire the highest caliber of ASE-Certified Master Technicians to join the team
• Validate complex repair recommendations and diagnostics to ensure fairness, accuracy, and transparency
• Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to translate customer feedback and insights into scalable product improvements
• Support Carma’s service center partners with diagnostic support and quality standards, fostering service excellence across our network
• Identify inefficiencies and contribute to SOPs and automated processes that drive operational excellence

About You

Must-Haves:

• ASE-Certified Master Technician (A1–A8) with 6+ years of automotive experience
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Be an advanced user of ALLDATA, Mitchell 1 ProDemand, MOTOR, and related automotive reference systems
• Proven ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in fast-moving environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Leadership or mentorship experience

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with SaaS products or startup operations
• Data-driven mindset and comfort using analytics tools
