The Opportunity
careCycle is transforming the Medicare insurance distribution industry with AI voice assistants that make every senior feel like a regular at their local diner, and a new system of record (CRM, dialer) that displaces billons in market cap.
We've processed over 1 million calls for 15 clients and are scaling to 45+ in the next quarter as we head into AEP (Annual Enrollment Period) - Medicare's Super Bowl. We’re at 7-figure ARR 5 months out of the batch, and still doubling month over month. Voice experiences were our wedge product. Now we’re going after the entire tech stack, with an opportunity to serve over 200,000 agents and 40 million seniors.
We need a founding solutions engineer who thrives at the intersection of talking to customers, prompt engineering, and getting into the weeds on improving product (voice AI orchestration, function calling, infrastructure).
You'll be owner #5 on our founding team, directly responsible for getting clients live and ensuring our voice AI bots deliver magical experiences for seniors navigating Medicare.
What You'll Own
Client Implementation (60% of time)
- Transform client requirements into working voice AI campaigns within 48-72 hours
- Build and configure voice assistant bots using our Pipecat-based platform (Mobius) Create custom integrations with client CRMs, call tracking systems, and carrier APIs
- Own the technical relationship from contract signature through go-live
- Engineer for scale: Influence product and internal FDE processes that prepare us to go from 10s to 100s of customers
System Optimization & Scaling (30% of time)
- Listen to call recordings and identify patterns across our 5-6K daily calls
- Build quantitative monitoring for latency, pipeline crashes, and performance issues
- Test and implement new STT/TTS/LLM models across AWS Sagemaker Create reusable templates and patterns that turn 10-hour implementations into 1-hour configurations Product & Customer Bridge (10% of time)
- Translate field learnings into product requirements
- Join late-stage sales calls to scope technical requirements
- Contribute to our technical documentation and knowledge base
Technical Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Demonstrated excellence and passion for great conversational AI experiences (Ideally in the voice modality)
- 3-5+ years building production software (Python required, JavaScript a plus)
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations Comfort with AWS (bonus: Sagemaker, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Ability to debug complex distributed systems
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with voice/telephony systems (Twilio, VoIP, SIP)
- Background in ML/AI implementation (not just using ChatGPT)
- Previous startup or founding experience (44% of successful FDEs are former founders)
- Healthcare/insurance industry knowledge

Compensation & Benefits
- $120-180K base salary
- 0.5-2.5% equity (4-year vest, 1-year cliff)
